Walborg Cowork Session

A compressed Strange Attractor + Three Horizons workshop run at Walborg Cowork Kafé Konkurs, Gothenburg, spring 2026. 36 participants, rating 4.7/5.

The session combined the Three Horizons framework with the Design Fiction Kit. In groups of six, participants created future scenarios using the DFK and backcasted onto the Three Horizons framework, identifying weak signals and trajectories for each scenario. In two hours, around 100 scenarios were created, of which six were developed further in each group. In addition to the concrete insights from the 3H and DFK work, this rapid session forced participants to navigate uncertain futures and to think harder about uncertainties.

Wearables Red/Blue Futures Wheel

Red and blue team cards from the Wearables Futures Wheel session

Participants split into two teams — red and blue — and argued as opponents or proponents on "drivers, frictions, and battlegrounds in regards to wearable tech," specifically the Meta Ray-Ban glasses.

In 20 minutes the two teams created two dozen lines of argument in a modified Futures Wheel, mapping primary, secondary, and tertiary consequences from each position. The opposing-team structure surfaced contradictions and dependencies that single-perspective futures work tends to flatten.

This session was a prototype for what became the Agonistic Futures format.

Swedish Design Fiction Kit

Swedish translation and localization of Julian Bleecker's Work Kit of Design Fiction. The kit contains four categories with 25 cards each — 100 cards total — excluding instructions.

Translated and adapted to a Swedish context in collaboration with Sara Henriksson. The localization involved not just language but cultural framing: references, examples, and provocations adjusted to resonate with a Swedish-speaking audience. Printed in Gothenburg.

Forms of AI

Presentation of AI-generated bureaucratic forms as a basis to ideate new design systems. Shown during Near Future Laboratory Office Hours 268, with follow-up discussion.

The forms system is intended to be used for workshops to ideate information architecture and design aesthetics — using the familiar bureaucratic form as a probe for speculation about future institutional structures and design languages.

Scenarios & DFK Workshop

Invited by Let's Talk About UX (opens in new tab) to give a two-hour workshop on the use of scenarios for futures work, and how to use the Design Fiction Kit to quickly iterate on ideas.

The workshop took place at Sigma Technology offices in Gothenburg. Participants worked through a structured scenario-building process before using the DFK to rapidly generate and stress-test ideas within those scenarios.

Online DFK Session

Online workshop using the Design Fiction Kit localization. The session ran two DFK rounds, ending with a STEEP/PEST analysis applied to one of the scenarios generated.

The smaller group size (three participants plus facilitator) allowed for deeper discussion on the application of the tool in practical situations, and on the comparative value of prescriptive versus freeform workshop formats.

Workshop Worksheets

Three A4 worksheets for futures workshop sessions laid out on a surface

Three worksheets for scenario-building workshops, each using a different approach to structuring futures thinking. Available in Swedish and English.

The three formats are: relationship mapping, timeline, and storyboard. Each is designed to be printed on Risograph and distributed as tear-off sheets during workshop sessions.

Online DFK Session

Online workshop using the Design Fiction Kit localization. I modified the presentations and metaphors used for how to apply the methodology in a practical context. I generated some future scenarios based on the cards and did a STEEP/PEST analysis on one scenario.

DFK Test Workshop at RISE

Participants at the DFK test workshop at RISE, Gothenburg

In order to test the Design Fiction Kit localization, I ran a workshop with nearly 30 signups. It was limited to 8 participants to allow for more detailed feedback on both the workshop format and the translated deck.

RISE generously provided workshop space in Gothenburg. The session produced valuable feedback on the Swedish localization — language, cultural framing, and the pacing of the workshop structure — which was incorporated into the final version of the kit.

Autonomous Delivery in the Future

Workshop documentation from the Autonomous Delivery workshop with Hugo Tech

Hugo Tech is an autonomous drone delivery company based in Gothenburg. I ran a short design fiction workshop with their team to visualise what their company and product offering might look like in 15 years time.

The workshop resulted in multiple avenues of potential business and social research — questions about regulation, infrastructure, social acceptance, and the long-term competitive landscape that the team had not previously articulated in concrete terms.
