I'm Mateusz Pożar. I founded Hintlab in 2022 as a platform for structured futures thinking, and speculative design and research. I offer guidance to organisations making real decisions under genuine uncertainty.
Every engagement is handled by me directly, from the first call to the final deliverable. No account managers, no junior staff. You always know who is responsible for the work.
Foresight practice
I'm a member of Futures Sweden, as well as on the staff for the Futures Sweden Podcast (opens in new tab). I adapted and translated the Design Fiction Kit to a Swedish context with permission from Julian Bleecker at Near Future Laboratory (opens in new tab). The Kit is available in the shop (opens in new tab).
I've run workshops with small groups online and in person as well as larger events with focused audiences. I've collaborated with RISE, Sigma Technology, LTUX, Walborg, and others.
Background
My background spans a Master in Fine Art from Akademin Valand, with a focus on site-specific and digital art, to a vocational degree in UX research and design, and three decades working in culture & media in Sweden. I've taught at Masters programmes in urban planning at Umeå University of Architecture, Chalmers, and KTH.
Born in Poland but raised in Sweden, I'm now based in Gothenburg and work nationally and in English-speaking contexts internationally. I also run matepo.se (opens in new tab) — a separate practice in UX research and accessibility consulting.
