I help organisations think clearly about futures they can't predict

Structured workshops and engagements for strategy teams and leadership who need better questions — not more forecasts.

Strange Attractor

Workshop Half day (3h) or full day (6h) · Up to 40 participants

Most futures exercises produce clever gadgets. Design Fiction produces futures that have to make sense for actual people.

This suits you if…

You're going into a strategy or creative process and you want participants to be genuinely comfortable with uncertainty. With Design Fiction you become comfortable with uncomfortable futures.

Three Horizons Mapping

Workshop Half day (3h) · Full day (6h) · Up to 20 participants

Some of your people are protecting what works now. Others are pushing for what they want to change. They're both right, and they're talking past each other.

This suits you if…

Your organisation is going through real change — new leadership, a merger, a sector shift — and people have stopped agreeing on what matters.

Agonistic Futures

Workshop Full day (6h) · 8–16 participants

One issue. Two groups. By approaching the issue from opposed points of view we create a conflicting description of the scenario with multiple levels of consequences and knock-on effects. What you find in the overlap is what you couldn't have found any other way.

This suits you if…

You want your team to have genuinely argued a future to thrash out both opportunities and threats before you commit to a position on it.

Horizon Burn

Workshop Half day (3h) · Full day (6h) · Up to 12 participants

Your sector is shifting and you can feel it. This session names what's moving and maps what it means for decisions you're making now.

This suits you if…

Your team has very different pictures of what the external environment looks like. You need a shared map before you can plan together.

Walborg Cowork Session

A compressed Strange Attractor + Three Horizons workshop run at Walborg Cowork Kafé Konkurs, Gothenburg, spring 2026. 36 participants, rating 4.7/5.

The session combined the Three Horizons framework with the Design Fiction Kit. In groups of six, participants created future scenarios using the DFK and backcasted onto the Three Horizons framework, identifying weak signals and trajectories for each scenario. In two hours, around 100 scenarios were created, of which six were developed further in each group. In addition to the concrete insights from the 3H and DFK work, this rapid session forced participants to navigate uncertain futures and to think harder about uncertainties.

Wearables Red/Blue Futures Wheel

Red and blue team cards from the Wearables Futures Wheel session

Participants split into two teams — red and blue — and argued as opponents or proponents on "drivers, frictions, and battlegrounds in regards to wearable tech," specifically the Meta Ray-Ban glasses.

In 20 minutes the two teams created two dozen lines of argument in a modified Futures Wheel, mapping primary, secondary, and tertiary consequences from each position. The opposing-team structure surfaced contradictions and dependencies that single-perspective futures work tends to flatten.

This session was a prototype for what became the Agonistic Futures format.
